Take the Pledge
After reading Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, Anthem, and other Ayn Rand novels, I have come to the conclusion that I should live my life by one simple guiding principle: my life, my mind, my love, my happiness are mine and mine alone. No one else has the right to my life and my mind; it is mine to give upon my own free will.
In Atlas Shrugged, the main characters vow a simple, yet profound statement; I have made it my pledge as well.
I challenge anyone with integrity to pledge the same and live life in a rational, productive way.
I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine.
